Tyler Parsons and the Chesterfield Raptors (MI) competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park during week 2 in 2008.

Tyler continued on the path of athletics but went in the direction of ice, making a career with ice hockey. Going through the ranks of youth hockey, Tyler transitioned from a forward to a goaltender. In 2014, he signed with the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) London Knights (London, Ontario, Canada) where he helped lead his team to the 2016 OHL championship.

In addition to the London Knights, Tyler was a member of the 2017 US National Junior Team, leading his team to the gold medal at the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship. Tyler won all five appearances in the net, including two shootout victories, with a 2.18 goals against average and .916 save percentage. In the semifinal shootout victory over Russia, he stopped four of Russia's seven shooters and in the gold medal game against Canada Tyler stopped all five Canadian shooters for the win.

Making the leap from the OHL, Tyler was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the second round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
