Chandler Parsons competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park twice in 2001 (weeks 4 and 11), both times with the Boys of Baseball National Travel Team (AL). Each time, Parsons helped his team advance to the Elite 8.

Chandler graduated from Lake Howell High School (Winter Park, FL) in 2007. While in high school, Chandler excelled on the basketball court. His statistics include averaging 21.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, helping the team to a 31-3 mark and the 5A state championship his senior year. Lake Howell made the Final Four in each of Chandler’s three years on varsity. He was the MVP of the 5A state championships, a Jordan All-American, an All-Conference selection and a First Team 5A All-State selection his senior year. Chandler played in the 2007 Senior Showcase in Orlando and earned MVP honors after scoring 30 points, grabbing 10 boards and dishing out seven assists. He left Lake Howell as the second-leading rebounder in school history along with 19 double-doubles.

After his high school graduation, Chandler attended and played basketball at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL). As a freshman (2007-2008) he earned SEC All-Freshman honors. In 2011, Chandler’s senior year, he has named SEC Player of the Year, the first in the college’s history, and was an AP honorable mention All-American as well as named a First-team All-SEC. Chandler finished his collegiate career 12th on Florida’s all-time scoring list with 1,452 points.

At the conclusion of his collegiate career, Chandler was the 38th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, chosen by the Houston Rockets. Following the 2011-2012 NBA season, Chandler was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. He played with the Rockets until 2014, at which time he signed with the Dallas Mavericks when he was a restricted free agent where he played until 2016. He then played with the Memphis Grizzlies for three seasons before his final season in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks.
