Tim Mayza and the Upper Perkiomen Chiefs (PA) played at Cooperstown Dreams Park during Tournament 8 in 2004.
Tim graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School (Pennsburg, PA). He was an all-around athlete earning a total of eight letters in soccer, basketball, and baseball. Tim helped baseball and basketball teams to four playoff appearances in each sport, was a three-time All-PAC 10 selection, second team pick in 2009 and first team selection in 2010, played in the 2009 American-Legion East-West Game in 2009, and was named All-PAC 10 Second Team with the basketball team and honorable mention in soccer.
Tim continued his education and baseball career at Millersville University of Pennsylvania (Millersville, PA). After three collegiate seasons, the pitcher was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. Tim made his Major League debut on August 15, 2017.
After 11 seasons with the Blue Jays organization, Tim signed with the New York Yankees on July 10, 2024. He helped the Yankees reach the 2024 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Tim was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates on February 3, 2025.
